The Museum features 3 1/2 floors of exhibitions telling the stories that made the American West, from the early lives of Native peoples to Spanish colonists, the Mexican era, Santa Fe Trail merchants, the railroad, cowboys, outlaws, scientists, and hippies. Artifacts, films, and computer interactives make history come alive in the state’s newest museum. Part of the History Museum, the Palace of the Governors is the nation’s oldest continuously occupied public building and the state’s oldest museum, with exhibits that include a collection of santos and the famed Segesser Hides.
The museum campus includes the Fray Angélico Chávez History Library and Photo Archives, the Palace Print Shop & Bindery, and the Native American Artisans Program.

True Kids One was founded in 2017 with the mission of providing New Mexico’s youth with the media skills, tools and opportunities they need to prepare them for success in New Mexico’s growing media industries and to promote digital citizenship and media education. Our vision is to transform education through media production for social change. True Kids One prepares youth for success by giving the opportunity for real-world experience in the form of radio shows, journalism projects and much more. We work with over 500 students to foster a strong bond between our students and their communities by helping them to contribute in a positive way to the social change they want to see.
