New DND Actual Play Updates!

Hello, hello!

Lately I have been dumping a lot more time into the show I’m putting up- which has been a fantastic change of pace for me. I spent about a week and a half putting together my set (with Michael’s help) and am now gearing up for our final pre-production meeting and our tech rehearsal next week. 

And yes, obviously I’m nervous. But I’m trying not to be. I started playing Dungeons and Dragons at an incredible low point in my life and the saving grace of this silly game got me out of a really bad spot. It clearly continues to be an invaluable resource for me right now, too, and while it’s easy to let the pressure of wanting to be really good at this drive me to the brink of insanity, I can’t help but hear the wise words of my personal DND hero ringing in my head as I work; “If you love something, make peace with doing it badly”.

The people I admire within this community would not and will never be ashamed of my feeble attempts to play this game and make this art as well as they do. My heroes are sitting in a studio much bigger than ours, with a budget much bigger, and a team much more experienced; and they’re cheering me on. Because we both know what it's like to love sitting around a table and telling a story with our friends. And because we know that- more than talent, or resources, or success- that that is the most important thing we could possibly have in common.

I can’t wait to finally get to share the world I made with you guys.
